Ktek announces plans to go global
Ktek Systems Inc., a Clearwater provider of advanced network solutions and Internet services for biotech, utility and medical industry companies, announced today the 5-year-old firm is expanding its services into the Ukraine, United Kingdom, Mexico, Singapore and Canada. Acquisitions and partnerships are part of the plan. At a Digital Bay Executive Forum meeting, Ktek founder and chief executive officer Kim During told government and economic development leaders from Hillsborough and Pinellas counties about her intention to rollout her 18-month globalization plan by January 2001. Clearwater will continue to be headquarters of Ktek's global e-business operation, she said. "We are not building a house," said Heather Donaho, Ktek executive vice president, about the firm's cyberspace globalization.
"We will be the people in the kitchen, the ones you never see," she said.
